The Freshers’ Day Celebrations -2016 have been held on 01 Oct 2016 in the campus of Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology with all pomp and festivity. Dr. K. Thirumaleswara Reddy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nellore Rural, extolled the dais as the Chief Guest. He emphasized on the need for goal setting, concentrated focus for Engineering students and the perseverance till the objectives are accomplished. Dr. G. Subba Rao, Principal, Mr. Srinivasulu Reddy, Joint Secretary, Mr. D. Phani Kumar, Director of Admissions and Administration, the Heads of various Departments, Head of Industry Institute Partnership Cell and the Director of Projects, Publications & Consultancy Division were among those who adorned the dais inspiring the gathering with their brief speeches. Several cultural programmes followed including classical dances, folk dances, rock dances, instrumental music and several medleys, culminating in a grand feast hosted by the senior students. The programme remains as a trend setter in organization, discipline and ideal and congenial ambience compatible to the context and spirit of ‘Freshers’ Day’
