Alumni Meet 2017
Alumni meet of Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology was held on October 21st 2017 at new seminar hall. The meet started with a prayer song followed by a classical dance which symbolise the delights and joys of heaven. The occasion was graced by more than 200 members. The program was initiated with an inspiring speech by Mr. P.V.L. Madhavarao on the significance of alumni. The program continued with the welcome address by Mr. T.Ravi Kumar, GIST Alumni co-ordinator. Prof. Dr. G.Subba Rao, principal of Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology gave his presidential address, followed by Sri. N.Sudhakar Reddy, Secretary and correspondent of Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology gave his special address by underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni. The session was also attended by various department HODs, shared their experience.
Later President of GIST Alumni Mr. S.Chaithanya, (2008-2012 batch, CSE Department), Vice President Mr.P.ANIL Kumar(2010-2014 batch, Mechanical Department), Secretary Mr. Vikram Bharadwaj (2010-2014 batch, Mechanical Department), Joint Secretary Ms. Reshma (2010-2014 batch, civil Department), Treasurer A.Jagadeesh (2010-2014 batch, Mechanical Department) and Joint Treasurer Mr. Pradeep Kumar (2010-2014 batch, Mechanical Department) shared their experiences as well as interesting movements of campus life , present situation of getting job and about fresher life after B.Tech with the audiences. Later many alumni members, Mr. Mr. Kiran kumar (2008-2012 batch, CSE Department) presently working as a network designer in Bangalore, Mr.P.Kiran Kumar, (2008-2012 batch, EEE Department), presently working in Mercedes Benz, babgalore, and etc. shared about their job life , present requirements of corporate companies, skill required to getting the job.
A delicious lunch was served for all the members who are attended for the meeting. In afternoon session all alumni students are visited the hole college, and they are remembered their college days, also they are observed the changes in college in what way college had improving the potentiality in all aspects. From 3pm to 5 pm they have organised an interaction session between 3rd and 4th year students and alumni members for their support to current students in the area of training & placement, career counselling and any other help.
