“Embedded Systems (IOT) Advanced” at GIST
A three day workshop on Embedded Systems (IoT) Advanced was organizedby the department of ECE, from25thto 27th March 2019 in collaboration with APSSDC. The experts from APSSDC explained various concepts of Embedded System related aspects right from the fundamentals to advanced (IOT) for B.Tech III year ECE students.
The workshop started with a presentation on Embedded Systems (IoT) Advanced and its related fields where opportunities are abundant in the industry. The presentation clearly explained what skills are required to become an embedded designer or engineer. The entire workshopcovers embedded systems and the Raspberry Pi Platform for building devices that can control the physical world.
The workshop resource persons initially focused on importance of IoT in society, the current components of typical IoT devices and trends for the future. IoT design considerations, constraints and interfacing between the physical world and your device will also be covered and also cover how to make design trade-offs between hardware and software, key components of networking to ensure that students understand how to connect their device to the Internet.Meanwhile the queries raised by the students were also answered in an efficient way in all the sessions by the resource persons.
The Principal of GIST, Prof. Dr. G. SubbaRao, in the inaugural address also mentioned the demand of Embedded Engineers in the related fields of Electronics. The head of the department of ECE, Mr.P.Raghava Reddy and APSSDC Department coordinator Mr.K.Prabhakar Reddy, Assoc. Professor, and faculty members of ECE also took part in the workshop actively.
