“ADVANCED  CATIA”

The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a one week  workshop on    “Advanced  CATIA”  with the support of  Aylin Technologies Private limited  from 28-07-2025 to 02-08-2025 in Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology.

The inaugural session preceded by the Head of The Mechanical Engineering Department Dr.N.Padmasravya, addressed gathering by IICC Head, Dr.P.Chakrapani and the importance of the workshop by Director of GIST, Dr G.Subbarao.

The main objective of this workshop is to create great learning platform for students of III & IV year students regarding design of the products by using software tool(CATIA)  to enhance their knowledge while creating surface models.

An advanced CATIA workshop is essential for mastering complex design techniques, such as intricate modeling, large assemblies, and advanced surfacing or sheet metal applications. It enhances skills in industry-specific areas like aerospace and automotive, focusing on virtual simulation, product testing, and integration with tools like ENOVIA and PDM. Additionally, it covers automation via scripting (VBA, CATScript) to optimize workflows, improve collaboration in multi-user environments, and reduce design errors. This training boosts proficiency, accelerates product development, and provides a competitive edge in high-tech industries, ultimately advancing careers and improving productivity.

Mr.Myank priyadarshi is the trainers from Aylin Technologies Private Limited, explained each and every concept related to  ADVANCED CATIA.

Mrs.G.Nilima  supervised the proceedings of the event.

Duration of workshop: 28-07-2025 to 02-08-2025

Number of Students Participated:   45

Workshop Coordinator:  Mrs.G.Niima
