A Report on One Day Industrial Visit to Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) Shar, Sriharikota, Nellore Dist
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized industrial visit for IV B.Tech ECE-A,B&C Students to “SATISH DHAWAN SPACE CENTER (SDSC) SHAR, SRIHARIKOTA, NELLORE Dist. on 23-10-2019 SDSC SHAR is one of India’s primary space center subordinated to Vikram Sarabhai Space Center. Indian Research Organization- department of Space, founded by Government of India and involved in the launch complexes provide complete support for vehicle assembly, fuelling, checkout and launch operations. Apart from these, it has facilities for launching sounding rockets meant for studying the earth’s atmosphere.
As a part of it, we covered SHAR LIBRARY, LAUNCH PADS 1 & 2, STATIC TEST CENTRE, TELEMETRY AND TRACKING CENTRE,SPACE MUSEUM, MISSION CONTROL
CENTRE and LAUNCH CONTROL CENTRE. The technical information provided by the SDSC SHAR team is so informative and details of them are enclosed. The faculty members Dr.Sd.JeelanBasha,Professor,Mrs.K.Radhika,Assoc.ProfessorMr.K.ChandraSekhar,Asst.ProfMrs.D.NagajyothiAssoc.Prof ECE engaged the students with the assistance of Dr. S.V Subba Rao, General manager, RIS Range Operators (SDSC) SHAR, Dr. P.Raja Reddy, Controller of (SDSC) SHAR, SRIHARIKOTA, NELLORE Dist.
Finally, with the kind cooperation of the students, the coordinators and the technical team of SDSC SHAR, the visit went on successfully. We thank the management for providing such an opportunity to visit SDSC SHAR.
