A Report On Industrial Visit To Integral Coach Factory(ICF):Chennai.
The II,III and IV year Mechanical students of 45 members have visited, Integral Coach Factory(ICF):Chennai on 27/09/2024 accompanied by two faculty members, namely Mr.Y.Muralikrishna Asst. Prof and Mrs. M.Mercy lydia Asst. Prof. The visit enables the students for practical exposure to the assembly of train coaches. In this Field Visit, students attained the knowledge on assembly of train coaches, vandebharth train coaches assembly, about wheel axles, Side valves, top frame of train, bottom frame of train, types of coaches, Train body material, material of wheels, pneumatic brake system, Air cushion parts, LHB coaches, Sub urban train, OHE Inspector vehicles, Water leaking test, and also about different welding process like TIG,MIG, and Arc welding and also about types of train coaches..And also they visited Chennai rail museum where different trains launched with dates are present in that museum, different types of engines all are sawn directly. The interactive session turned out to be extremely beneficial to the learners, as it provided them with a worthy learning experience, which will definitely stand them in good stead in their effort to expand the horizons of their technical proficiency.
