COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (AI&DS)
About Department
Bachelor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (B.Tech.AI&DS) is an undergraduate degree program that focuses on the interdisciplinary domains of artificial intelligence (AI) and data science (DS). It is designed to provide students with a strong and solid foundation in AI and DS technologies, along with the necessary programming, statistical, and mathematical skills to develop practical and sustainable data-driven solutions for real-world problems.
The curriculum of B.Tech. AI&DS program typically includes a broad array of core courses related to AI and DS, such as machine learning, data mining, data visualization, big data analytics, statistical analysis, natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning. Additionally, students may also learn programming, databases, data structures, algorithms, mathematics, probability, and statistics, which are crucial for understanding the underlying concepts of AI and DS.
The program often encompasses practical hands-on experiences through laboratory sessions, projects, internships, and real-world case studies to help students in the application of AI and DS concepts in practical scenarios. Students may engage with real-world datasets, develop AI/ML models, analyze large datasets, and gain proficiency in popular programming languages and tools used in the field, such as Python, R, Tensor Flow, scikit-learn, and Tableau.
Upon completing the B.Tech. AI&DS program, graduates can pursue a wide range of career opportunities in fields such as AI development, data science, machine learning engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, and other AI and DS-related roles in industries such as technology, finance, healthcare, e-commerce, and more. Graduates may build their careers as AI engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, data analysts, or pursue higher education, such as Master’s or Ph.D. programs, for further specialization or research in AI, DS, or allied domains.
