About

An ACM student chapter is started by the department Computer Science and Engineering in the academic year 2023-24. An ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) student chapter is a student-run organization that aims to promote interest and knowledge in computer science and related fields among its members and the wider community..

The purpose of an ACM student chapter is to foster an interest in computer science, provide opportunities for growth and development, and promote the advancement of the field through education, research, and community engagement.

Objective:

The purpose of an ACM student chapter is to:

• Provide a forum for students to discuss and explore topics related to computer science, such as programming languages, algorithms, data structures, artificial intelligence, and computer networking.
• Offer opportunities for students to engage in research and projects related to computer science and technology.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and other educational events to promote the development of technical skills and knowledge.
• Provide networking opportunities with other students, faculty, and industry professionals, which can lead to internships, jobs, and collaborations.
• Promote diversity and inclusion in the field of computer science, and encourage participation of underrepresented groups in technology
