A TWO-WEEK ISTE WORKSHOP ON “Engineering Physics” was conducted during 8th December 2015-18th December 2015 at Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology, Nellore, Center code 1294, is the Remote center of IIT, Kharagpur/Bombay for ISTE Workshop. under the National Mission on Education through IIT BOMBAY, MHRD, Govt. of India coordinated by Dr. Y. Jahnavi and Mr. M. Krishna Prasad.
The workshop was conducted through the DISTANCE EDUCATION mode and transmitted live through internet (A-View software).The Workshop was organized in blended MOOC model, so as to train teachers for adopting the use of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in general, and to empower them to use the blended model in particular.
The Speakers of the workshop are Prof. Shiva Prasad, IIT Bombay, Prof. Dipan K. Ghosh, IIT Bombay, and Prof. K.G. Suresh, IIT Bombay.
The workshop provided training to 40 participants on Engineering Physics to make teaching and research effectively, and covered the following topics:
- Relativity.
- Quantum Mechanics.
- Electro Magnetic Theory.
- Optics.
- Elements of Solid State Physics.
- Magnetism.
- Superconductivity.
