  1. To create zeal amongst students and faculty members towards sports.<\/li>\n

  4. To organize various competitions in the following sports: cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, carom, badminton, and Athletics.<\/li>\n
  5. The committee aspires to inculcate qualities such as sportsmanship, team spirit and bonding.<\/li>\n

    Roles & Responsibilities of Committee Members<\/span><\/h4>\n

    1. The committee shall promote sports activities by motivating students and members of faculty.<\/li>\n
    2. Establishing adequate facilities for Sports & Games<\/li>\n
    3. Budgeting the funds for organizing Annual Sports Days & GISTECHFEST<\/li>\n
    4. Conducting orientation programmes for students and faculty members<\/li>\n
    5. Establishing and updating the facilities of\u00a0 Gymnasium<\/li>\n
    6. Coordinating with the Departments for putting special focus on winners in Inter-University and Zonal competitions.<\/li>\n
    7. Preparing the Annual report of accomplishments in Sports Games.<\/li>\n
    8. Discarding the out-dated, damaged and Sports & Games and gymnasium equipment\u2019s with adequate replacements.<\/li>\n
    9. Cultivating daily fitness training habits among students, faculty and staff members<\/li>\n
    10. Identifying and utilizing the services of resource persons for the training of\u00a0 the students in various sports & Games<\/li>\n
    11. Promoting team spirit by making healthy competition.<\/li>\n
    12. To organize regular sports events in order to train students for state and national level competitions.<\/li>\n
    13. To arrange for better coaching facilities.<\/li>\n
    14. Proper maintenance of sports accessories.<\/li>\n
