About Department<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), established in 2008, offers a comprehensive undergraduate program in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The initial intake of 60 students has progressively increased to 180 by the year 2023, reflecting the department\u2019s academic growth and demand. In addition, the department offers a postgraduate M.Tech. program in Embedded Systems and VLSI Design with an intake capacity of 18 students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aligned with its vision and mission, the department is supported by robust infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories. Students have access to licensed and industry-standard software tools such as Xilinx, Code Composer Studio, MATLAB, LABTEK, Microwind, NS-2, and MASM, enabling hands-on learning and the development of intelligent and embedded systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

The department actively integrates cutting-edge technologies into the curriculum through NPTEL online courses, SWAYAM, FOSSEE and Spoken Tutorials by IIT Bombay, along with expert webinars conducted by Texas Instruments. Practical exposure is further strengthened through collaboration with National Instruments (NI), offering training in LabVIEW, and through workshops and internships organized in association with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC).<\/span><\/p>\n

Students receive continuous technical mentoring and institutional support to participate in and excel at national-level competitions and challenges organized by reputed organizations such as National Instruments, Texas Instruments, Terasic Inc., DST, Intel, AICTE, and IIT Bombay. The department also facilitates industrial visits to premier research and space organizations including the National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL) and Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), providing valuable industry exposure and insights into emerging technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The department is strengthened by a dedicated and highly qualified faculty team comprising 4 Ph.D. holders and 34 M.Tech. graduates, with specializations in VLSI Design, Communication Systems, Digital Electronics, Computer Systems, and Embedded Systems. Faculty members employ modern pedagogical approaches such as Smart Classrooms and ICT-enabled teaching tools to enhance student learning outcomes. Regular Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) conducted under NMEICT, along with workshops and conferences, ensure continuous professional development and promote high-quality research publications in reputed national and international journals.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Vision-Mission” tab_id=”1579851737104-4daa0102-6757″][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n
