Gaiety, pomp and fanfare marked the orientation programme organized at GIST on 30th June 2016, to welcome the B.Tech and Diploma freshers for the academic year 2016-2017.after lighting the ceremonial lamp and participating in the event as the chief guest, Sri.T.Venugopal, a renowned human psychologist and personality development trainer suggested the students to imbibe leadership skills, communication skills and hardworking nature to grab the opportunities available at global level in the modern era of technological advancement. He exhorted the students to hone relevant professional skills, keeping pace with the emerging technologies.

Another guest of honor Sri. Annadaata Mani said that technical students have an onerous responsibility to carry forward the society with a pragmatic and forward looking vision. He urged the faculty to blend the technical instruction with ethical values to churn out responsible engineers and technicians, to play a vibrant and dynamic role in nation’s development.

Address the gathering of the parents and students, Prof.Dr.G.Subba Rao, Principal said that the institution providing all necessary infrastructure and resources for the multi-dimensional development of the learners. The institutions take it upon itself to produce engineers and technocrats possessing skills, expertise and ethical values.

Speaking on the occasion Sri.N.Sudhakar Reddy, Secretary and correspondent expressed his satisfaction and happiness over the steady growth achieved by the institution which made to stand at top in the district over the years since its inception in 2008.

Cash prizes and merit scholarships were distributed to the college toppers and poor students in the event.

Sri.P.Srinivasulu Reddy, Joint Secretary, Sri.Y.Vijaysankar Reddy, Treasure, Sri.DVSS.Phani Kumar, Director Admissions &Administration, Mr.Y.Dinakr, Placement Officer, Heads of other depts., Faculty and students took part in the event.
