                Sri N.Srinivasa Rao, JE South Central Railway elaborated the need of knowing various types of electrical system that are currently used in railway coaches like self generating(SG) Alternators for AC and NON-AC coaches for getting continious power supply to fans , lights and AC units etc. He also explains HEAD-ON-GENERATION (HOD), END –ON-GENERATION (EOG) and their advantages, disadvantages. Power Distribution in entire rake and how each coach is provided with control, distribution and feeder change over arrangement on panel is given through single line diagram.

            Mr. N.Srinivasa Rao while interacting , answered the students giving electrification systems in Janashatabathi express, Rajadhani express trains with other Non-AC train coaches.

Students  appreciated the enthusiasm shown by srinivasa rao in his explanation and clearing their doubts.
