The Mechanical Engineering Department was organized a guest lecture on “Thermal Power Plant and Employment Opportunities”. This guest lecture was held on 20-01-2017at Digi Hall. Mr. T. MathevanPallai, Director, Neyveli Lignite Corporation and Mr. Paul Augestin, Asst. Director, MERC Academy was the resource persons of the program. It was conducted in two sessions.

MathevanPallai was explained working elements of thermal power plant like Pulverizer, Boiler, Coal ash, Turbine, Condenser, Transformers, Cooling towers, Generator and High – voltage power lines, etc. Mr. Paul Augestin discussed employment opportunities in Design, Construction, Commissioning, operations and maintenance in thermal power plant.
