A TWO-WEEK ISTE WORKSHOP ON “Environmental Studies” was conducted during 2nd June 2015-12th June 2015 at Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology, Nellore, Center code 1294, is the Remote center of IIT, Kharagpur/Bombay for ISTE Workshop. under the National Mission on Education through IIT BOMBAY, MHRD, Govt. of India coordinated by Dr. Y. Jahnavi and Mrs. B.Shireesha.
The workshop was conducted through the DISTANCE EDUCATION mode and transmitted live through internet (A-View software).The Workshop was organized in blended MOOC model, so as to train teachers for adopting the use of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in general, and to empower them to use the blended model in particular.
The Speakers of the workshop are Prof. Virendra Sethi, IIT Bombay, Prof. D.Pardhasaradhi, IIT Bombay, and Prof. K.Narayanan, IIT Bombay.
The workshop provided training to 35 participants on Environmental Studies to make teaching and research effectively, and covered the following topics:

- Water Pollution.
- Water Resources, Energy Resources and Food Resources.
- Waste Management.
- Environment & Society.
- Environmental Ethics.
- Environmental Economics.
