TWO WEEK ISTE WORKSHOP ON “Computer Programming” was conducted during 07th June 2014-21st June 2014 at Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology, Nellore, Center code 1294, is the Remote center of IIT, Kharagpur/Bombay for ISTE Workshop.  under the National Mission on Education through IIT BOMBAY, MHRD, Govt. of India coordinated by Dr. Y. Jahnavi and Mr. Y. Sai Sandeep Reddy.

The workshop was conducted through the DISTANCE EDUCATION mode and transmitted live through internet (A-View software).The Workshop was organized  in blended MOOC model, so as to train teachers for adopting the use of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in general, and to empower them to use the blended model in particular.

The Speakers of the workshop are Prof. Deepak B. Phatak, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay and Prof. Sridhar Iyer Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay

The workshop provided training to 35 participants on Computer Programming to make teaching and research effectively, and covered the following topics:

  • Introduction to Object Oriented Programming
  • Classes and Methods, C++ Standard Library
